NATIONAL NOTES.2 6 SEPTEMBER 2024

Hunter Biden pleads guilty to all nine federal tax charges brought by special counsel David Weiss. It should be obvious, but for those that need an explanation, allow me to enlighten you: The only reason he’d change his plea to guilty and voluntarily be staring at 17 years in prison is if he was certain Daddy was going to pardon him or at the very least commute his sentence. Even though the White House continues to say Biden will not pardon or commute his son, as the political insiders are saying, in Washington DC, no means no right up until it means yes. What all of us commonsensers wanna see is Hunter’s sentencing postponed until AFTER 20 Jan 24, when Biden’s no longer president. That’s the ONLY way we can be sure he won’t pardon his kid or commute his sentence.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS.1 6 SEPTEMBER 2024

Lawsuits argue Oregon retailers can’t scan ID for all alcohol and tobacco purchases. IT’S ABOUT DAMNED TIME! Where do I sign up to join the suit? Oregon law specifies asking for ID when “there is any reasonable doubt of the person’s having reached 21 years of age.” I’m 73 years old for Christ’s sake! It’s not MY fault the store isn’t smart enough to hire employees who can’t tell the difference between a 21-year-old and someone who’s clearly past retirement age. When this became a fad among stores, those who wanted to scan my driver’s license when I was trying to buy fake beer – let me repeat that – NON-ALCOHOLIC beer, lost me as a customer. If the stores don’t want to get fined by the state for selling alcohol or tobacco to anyone underage, then hire smarter people. Oh, I forgot. This is Oregon. Thanks to the Democrats in Salem, high school graduates don’t have to know how to read or do math anymore. I guess they’ll haveta widen the search for minimum-wage employees to include neighboring states.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 6 SEPTEMBER 2024

How and why Oregon’s housing agency is spending $65M for shelter operations statewide. This is one of the main reasons I came up with my Transition Center plan. These governmental agencies spend your tax money in drips and drabs throughout the year to take care of the bums and bumettes, and yet you still have to drive past their canvas condo developments, along with their inevitable piles of squalor, anytime you go anywhere. Go ahead – be my guest. Start researching what counties, states, or your federal government spend on the bums. When the number adds up to $7 billion – BINGO – they’ve got enough to build a Transition Center.

DAILY DELIBERATIONS.1 6 SEPTEMBER 2024

Small town California mayor allegedly sucker punched by homeless man near congressional staffers, police chief. The only way this story woulda been better would be if the bum robbed him after the sucker punch while standing next to the chief of police. All these California politicians need to be brought to task for the bum and criminal lovin’ state they’ve created.
