It’s a big bullet to bite, but they need to shit or get off the pot. 13 years ago, the estimated cost to replace it was $3.4 billion. Today, the total cost estimate (including changes to the I5 approaches on both sides) has risen to $14.4 billion. This is a typical “pay me now or pay me later” situation if I’ve ever seen one.

Until Congress passes laws that say if they shut down the government, THEY won’t be gettin’ paid, this shit’ll go on long after I’m dead and gone.
