Assimilation: the process of becoming a part, or making someone become a part, of a group, country, society, etc. 68 million foreign-born residents of this country haven’t bothered to learn the language. Let me put it this way: If you heard that you could make a ton of money by bein’ a tennis pro, don’t you think it’d be a good idea to learn the rules and know how to play the game BEFORE you stepped onto the court? We oughta enforce a societal and language test as part of the visa application process. If the applicant doesn’t pass, they don’t get to come in. Put THAT in place, finish the wall, and the problem’s solved.
