Chambers Bridge Roadwork. I suffer through the inconvenience of this snail-pace project daily. As long as the City of Eugene is content to continue payment for an incompetent contractor in the face of their apparent ineptitude, I vote for them to require the presence of EPD at the lane closure to hand out tickets to all the idiots that don’t seem to be able to follow multiple directional signs and readerboards requiring them to merge left. Instead of doing what they’re supposed to, these assholes drive past numerous signs telling them to get over until the last minute, which requires the people that obey the law and are equipped with even a moderate amount of common sense, to slow down and let the lawbreaker cut in line.
