NATIONAL NOTES.1 29 AUGUST 2025

Fed governor Cook sues the Trump administration over attempted firing. Cook was fired for allegations that she committed mortgage fraud in 2021. Has she been livin’ under a rock? In the REAL employment world, if somebody wants you gone bad enough, they’ll find a way to fire you. They can downsize your position away, or in a case relayed to me by an ex-stepbrother-in-law, they can patiently wait until you screw yourself up. The subject worked for the USPS and was a real asshole. Nobody liked him, but given USPS policy, just bein’ an asshole wasn’t grounds for dismissal. Then his supervisor had an idea. He enlisted the aid of another supervisor, who loitered in the parking lot at quitin’ time for the asshole to approach his vehicle to drive home. True to form (and from force of habit), the asshole had the ubiquitous black pen enblazoned with “Property of US Government” in his shirt pocket. He was promptly fired for theft of government property.

NATIONAL NOTES 29 AUGUST 2025

Trump urges death penalty for all D.C. homicides: ‘Very strong preventative.’ That’s not the ONLY place that should be doin’ it. All the states that don’t allow it are drainin’ their taxpayers’ pockets. The average cost to keep a prisoner alive behind bars for one year is $43,000. Let’s assume the average life expectancy for a lifer is 40 years. That means the average cost for the expected duration of a life sentence is $1.72 million. Multiply that by the number of prisoners in the United States who’re serving life sentences (200,000), and it’s costin’ taxpayers  $3.44 BILLION per year. The average cost of carryin’ out the death penalty (electric chair, lethal injection, etc.) is $2.25 MILLION. The cost of five .223 rounds for a five-man firing squad is $1.95, plus the labor cost of the members, and body disposal costs. Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS.1 29 AUGUST 2025

Oregon spending over $50k from school fund on failed homeless camp cleanup along Sandy River. Only in a state run by Democrats will you see them stealing over $50,000 from a fund that teaches kids in school, to use for a bum camp clean up, only to have it halted because the bums rioted, and the governor (Democrat Crazy Kotek) ordered it stopped. TRANSITION CENTERS!!!

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 29 AUGUST 2025

Oregon’s budget faces significant shortfall as kicker shrinks and future rebates uncertain. Trump’s tax package, H.R.1, is estimated to reduce Oregon’s personal income tax collections by $586 million and corporate tax collections by $300 million. That’s par for the course. How convenient. Oregon Democrats spend $7 billion a year on wetbacks and bums, but blame #45/47 for the death of the kicker, when what they SHOULD be doin’ is lookin’ in a mirror.

DAILY DELIBERATIONS.1 29 AUGUST 2025

Maryland Democrat Gov. criticized for mismanaging ‘Crime-ridden Baltimore,’ as Trump threatens to withhold federal funds. I’ll let you in on a little secret: None of these Democratic governors know their ass from a hole in the ground. I’m surprised #45/47 hasn’t figured out how to pull back money already. I don’t want a part of MY taxes goin’ to a place where these assholes are gonna mismanage it.
