Government shuts down after Congress deadlocks on spending deal. And once again, the f⭐⚡⭐in’ Democrats cut off their nose to spite their face. Let’s be clear. They dug in because 1. The commonsensers wouldn’t allow them to renew Obamacare subsidies, and 2. They wouldn’t give them over $1 trillion to spend on free medical care for wetbacks (who broke the law by just bein’ here). Common sense would dictate that their behavior should be rewarded by a well-deserved ass whoopin’ at the polls in 2026, but only time will tell.

Oregon Senate passes transportation bill along party lines. Folks, we’ve been over this at nauseam. When you start havin’ to pay more for transportation-related stuff just to bail out a bloated, Democrat infested, featherbeddin’ department that doesn’t know how to budget your tax dollars, maybe, just maybe, the Democrats in this state’ll start electin’ some common sense to represent them. I wouldn’t hold my breath though. The last time we had a commonsense governor was 1982, and we haven’t had a Republican-run House of Representatives since 2006. A LOT of Californians’ve invaded the state since those days.
