LA relied on teen volunteers for years despite fire chief’s warning, but leaders can’t be sued. Mayor Karen Bass could face recall over her administration’s fire response. What can I say? Pay me now, or pay me later. As usual, a bunch of Democrats valued their taxpayer-funded jobs and status more than the commonsense advice and requests of their department heads. Maybe now it’ll start costing a few of ’em their jobs once the recalls get started. However, the REAL yardstick of progress in California will be if the current office-holders are replaced by commonsense candidates instead of the usual run-of-the-mill Democrats. If that doesn’t happen, the voters will surely face the same problems in a few years when 30 years of treehugger earthfirster politics regains its throne.
