Biden admin. old-growth forest proposal. For residents of Oregon, this one HAS to remind you of the treehuggers’ Spotted Owl victory back in the late ’80s and early ‘90s. In retrospect, that one was as wrong-headed as Biden’s latest initiative. The earthfirsters were off base then, and Biden’s crew probably doesn’t know their ass from a hole in the ground now. For those that need a recap, the treehuggers were convinced that the Spotted Owls’ declining numbers were the result of cuttin’ down the old-growth trees where they lived. Come to find out, the REAL reason for their decline was that they were being displaced by their ancient enemy, the Barred Owl – a process that’s been goin’ on since WAY before there were any treehuggers. In fact, scientists have recently proposed that the only way to preserve the smaller Spotted Owl was to kill off the larger Barred Owls. You can’t make up this stuff.

Chicago getting ‘window dressing’ treatment for Democratic National Convention. This oughta be good. The Democrats and their collective bleedin’ heart attitude are responsible for this country’s problems, so it’s fitting that they hold their convention in the crime-ridden wild west of Chicago. And, to ensure the participants are safe, they’re lockin’ down entire city blocks and saturatin’ the area with cops. Kinda like San Francisco did by relocatin’ all their bums when world leaders came to town for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders’ conference.

Which NATO countries are meeting the 2% defense spending commitment? How about THIS list – those that AREN’T spendin’ the required 2%: Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Italy, Luxembourg, Slovenia, and Spain. One country stands out – Canada. While they probably feel safe from a Russian invasion due to geographical distance, the REAL reason for shirking their responsibility is no doubt the touchy-feely bleedin’ heart that’s runnin’ their country.
