California voter ID initiative clears signature threshold, setting up November showdown with Newsom. This may come as a shocker (I know it was to me), but it would appear that common sense is not an endangered species in The Golden State after all. 1.3 million voters signed a petition to put a voter ID requirement on November’s ballot. If it passes, it’ll change the state constitution and tell Sacramento’s Democrat supermajority to stick it in their ass.
