Trump admin. halts child care payments nationwide until states provide evidence of legitimate spending. Wait just a damn minute. Why weren’t they doin’ that all along? Every outfit I’ve ever worked for – without exception – required documented verification before disbursement of funds for anything. Why aren’t our state and federal governments doin’ the same thing? These scandals are no different from telling the county that the check’s in the mail and then marking your property tax bill paid when you haven’t taken a dime outta your bank account to pay ’em. If there’s no confirmation process, no WONDER they’re gettin’ ripped off, and it’s our tax dollars the fraudsters are stealin’.
