NATIONAL NOTES 4 DECEMBER 2025

The Trump administration has paused immigration applications from 19 countries. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem recommended that Trump should enact “a full travel ban on every damn country that’s been flooding our nation with killers, leeches, and entitlement junkies.” The ban applied to citizens of Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen, while restricted access applied to citizens of Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela. These places are the very definition of third-world countries.
