South Lane Fire proposes to double property taxes for local option levy. Here’s an idea: Instead of DOUBLING the property tax, why don’t they force Crazy Kotek to give ‘em part of the $7 billion this state, its counties and cities give to the bums and wetbacks every year? The average homeowner in Drain pays $1,447 a year in property taxes. If this levy passes, that’d jump to the better part of $3,000. How many readers could afford that, all the while knowin’ that the state provided food, shelter, and other freebies to bums and illegal aliens?
