Over a third of students in Oregon still aren’t consistently attending school. The article’s tryin’ to tell us that the blame lies with parents not havin’ the financial wherewithal to get their kids to school (transportation), or feed ’em once they get there. Maybe financial security shoulda played a more prominent role in the couple’s conversation about whether they could afford to have kids in the first place.
