OREGON OBSERVATIONS 31 OCTOBER 2024

FEC complaint on Rep. Hoyle, personal use of campaign $$. During a critical time in Oregon, while wildfires raged and voters wondered where their Congresswoman was, Val Hoyle relaxed at a waterfront hotel in Maine. To add insult to injury, our District 4 Representative ‘voted against H.R.8790 Fix Our Forests Act (FOFA), the only bipartisan wildfire prevention legislation to emerge from the House of Representatives during the 118th Congress.’ So apparently, she flew up the East Coast to a hoity-toity resort on 13 September (while we, her District constituents, were coughin’ on wildfire smoke), only to return to DC and say no to HR 8790 on 26 September. The sooner she’s voted outta office, the better.
