NATIONAL NOTES.1 30 APRIL 2026
34,000 deceased individuals found on North Carolina voter rolls, election officials say. This has GOT to be one of the biggest I-told-you-so’s in recent memory, and a glowing advertisement for the SAVE Act. I mean, come on. Don’t the state employees who process the death certificates talk to the people who maintain the voters’ rolls? Maybe it’s time to start.

NATIONAL NOTES 30 APRIL 2026
Tens of thousands switch party affiliation as West Virginia reshapes its map. More than 20,000 unaffiliated voters also moved to the GOP ahead of the state’s May 12 primary election. The next thing these voters need to do is recall the lyin’ Democrat they screwed up and elected as their governor. Talk about cuttin’ your nose off to spite your face.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 30 APRIL 2026
As seen on Facebook – I would like to take a moment to break this down. I made each claim a different color to make this easy to follow! Let’s begin: Blue– “invested in Oregon’s public schools” ~ Reality, my daughter is enrolled in PPS, and at the beginning of the year, she had 34 kids in her class with 1 teacher and no designated teacher’s aids. Since the start of the year, 7 children have been removed and transferred to other schools. Her 3rd-grade class has not taken a single field trip this year, and will not take one this year. Not one. There aren’t any recitals, assemblies, science fairs, or other events for parents to attend. She doesn’t even bring home artwork…. Where exactly is this investment, Tina?! Purple– “passed the nation’s strongest abortion access law” ~ If by “strongest” you mean latest… Abortion is legal throughout pregnancy in Oregon – there is no ban or limit on abortion in Oregon based on how far along in pregnancy you are. There is no law that specifically requires you to notify or get consent from a parent to get an abortion in Oregon. But Oregon law requires that anyone under 15 obtain a parent’s consent for any medical treatment. That means that if you’re under 15, you’ll need to get consent from a parent to get an abortion in Oregon, but a health care provider may be able to waive this requirement. If you’re 15 or older, you don’t need parental consent to get an abortion in Oregon. Green– “put Oregon on a path to 100% clean electricity” ~ Kotek’s aggressive decarbonization policies are worsening the cost-of-living crisis for Oregonians. Rate Hikes: Opponents and some watchdog groups contend that reinstating the Climate Protection Program (CPP) and new clean energy regulations will drive up energy bills, potentially by as much as 35%. Economic Impact: Critics argue that these policies impose “hidden energy taxes” on families. Red– “Trump” ~ Instead of using this space to really lay out details on how she plans to improve the state, she wants to continue running, she calls out President Trump 6x and all the ways she’s been fighting the federal government and the elected President of the United States. Every time she tries to push back against him, it costs us money. It restricts our access to government funding. It hurts the state of Oregon. Yellow– This entire paragraph of claims is false. Except for the hike on the gas tax…. Her gas tax! She pushed it and pushed it and pushed it harder, and when she saw we didn’t want it, she tried to force it by moving it to May, then panicked and paused it, like she’s some hero… Gross. Utility bills are significantly higher, not lower. Childcare is not cheaper. Prescription drugs might be cheaper and more readily accessible, if we’re talking about street value… our homeless population is steadily growing, and the cost of living is growing with it. Tina Kotek failed and has the nerve to pretend like she’s doing an excellent service to us all.

DAILY DELIBERATIONS.1 30 APRIL 2026
New York bills could abolish life without parole for serial killers and cop killers. This is exactly what happens when voters elect Democrats to be their governor and fill their legislatures. I wonder if it’ll change when a few of ’em start dyin’ in a pool of their own blood, killed by the assholes the bleedin’-hearts let outta jail?

DAILY DELIBERATIONS 30 APRIL 2026
Social media erupts after Mamdani’s far-left supporters turn on him over homeless shelter. East Village residents who voted for New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani by a 40-point margin are now suing to stop a building in their neighborhood from becoming a temporary homeless shelter. Better late than never. If they hadn’t’ve voted for the sonofabitch in the first place, we wouldn’t be havin’ this conversation.

NATIONAL NOTES.1 29 APRIL 2026
I’m a university president. Trump is right to make colleges deliver for students. It’s about damned time. A lot of these colleges advertise in glowing terms about how good the graduate’s life is gonna turn out with one of their degrees, but in actuality, it’s just so much hype – like a dealership that will try to sell you a shiny new car without tires or wheels. Don’t believe me? How many hundreds or even thousands of degree holders are out there, saddled with tens of thousands of dollars in student loans, and’re parking cars or bartendin’ for a livin’, ’cause the degree they got is worthless?
