I know Memorial Day is not till the 30th, but I’m going out of town for the better part of a week to attend my next-to-youngest granddaughter’s high school graduation and wanted to post this before the holiday.

Re: “Biden-backed Schrader ousted in Oregon’s 5th District.” Another in a continuing line of “I Told Ya So’s.” THIS is what happens when our poor excuse for a president tries to put his cache behind any candidate. In campaigns at all levels across this country, Democrats are staying as far away from him as they can, because they know he’s radioactive. Too bad all the people that voted for him in 2020 didn’t have sense enough to see that before they checked the box or pulled the lever. It’d’ve saved us all from $5 a gallon gas, 8.5% inflation, and an extra 2 million illegal aliens running around the country.

Re: Now, THIS is bureaucracy at its finest in a Democratic regime. Oregon government employees got more raises, and suffered the fewest losses during the pandemic, but apparently, that wasn’t enough. On top of that, we’re being told that 10% of Dept. of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices will be closed this summer due to worker shortage and a statewide reorganization of offices. Let me get this straight – Oregon DMV suffers a computer crash resulting in months-long delays in getting a simple appointment, has been closed longer than the average state during the pandemic, but they still need to inconvenience us more by closing 10% of their offices? Be sure to thank Queen Brown on her way out, for the absolute abysmal performance she’s extracted from her state offices since she’s been running things. My message for her is don’t let the door hit her in the ass on the way out.

Re:   Here’s my question, and I’m sure the same one’s on the mind of ANY commonsenser out there: If the FBI, CIA, and NSA can conduct warrantless spying on millions of citizens in the name of protecting Americans, how in the hell did they miss this nut job posting on Facebook that he shot his grandmother and was going to shoot up an elementary school? In the words of our pathetic excuse for a president: “come on man.” Do you honestly mean to tell me that this country’s spy agencies have the authority to do what it takes to gather evidence and arrest a terrorist who’s putting together a plan to kill an ex-president, but their hands are tied when it comes to a sick psycho set on murdering a bunch of grade schoolers? Truth be known, I’m sure if they’ve got surveillance programs sophisticated enough to monitor a bad guy looking to buy weapons of war on the Dark Web, they’d have the knowhow to push a button, and make all Facebook private postings readable. In the case of almost all of these bloodbaths we’ve read about in the last few years, after the fact it’s been discovered the perpetrator’s posted his intentions on some social media platform. THAT’S how they’re going to stop these lunatics – by AI monitoring programs that find, and alert on postings that say some guy’s headed to a school to kill a bunch of people. Short of that, at a MINIMUM, they need to put SROs back on all the campuses – I don’t care WHAT the woke progressives say. If they continue to dig in and push back on putting cops back on school grounds, it’ll be all those woke progressive liberals with school kids’ blood on THEIR hands.

Here’s another stat to throw on the growing pile of negatives – catalytic converter theft is up 270% – in excess of 4,900 last year alone. Nationally, State Farm saw claims for catalytic converter thefts jump from $4.6 million to $62.6 million from 2019 and 2021. Reminds me of when I worked at a steel recycler. This was years before Oregon changed the sale documentation required during a converter sale, but anybody with even a smidgen of common sense could figure out that the bedraggled bum that just wheeled up to the non-ferrous dock, with a sawed-off catalytic converter in his bicycle basket, didn’t get it from a car he owned.

Commonsense Americans are more worried about the millions of wetbacks you let into THIS country and the millions more you’re GOING to let in, than what’s going on 5,600 miles away. Know what that means? You can blame the high price of gas and the highest inflation in 40 years for Russia’s war with Ukraine, but Putin’s not the one holding all the gates open from Brownsville to San Diego so the illegals can waltz right in.
