We now have what appears to be seven heat-related deaths so far this year. After the 79 heat-caused deaths last year. In an effort to save lives, Queen Brown and her merry band of Democrats decided to spend millions of your tax dollars to prevent such deaths in communities without the resources to have access to air conditioning. So, where’re the AC units? Well, let’s see. Depending on which source you refer to, the units weren’t ordered until sometime in May of this year, after the law making the money available was passed in March. That’s like letting a house fire spread to the second floor before you decide to start looking for a hose to put it out. Folks, this is the Deep State at work – the faceless army of governmental drones displaying their normal sense of urgency – none. Since she’s been running the state, there’s been no shortage of missteps to be found in any of Queen Brown’s various departmental branches. When she says jump, they don’t ask “how high,” they ask, “what for?”

While Lane County’s DA has served with an admirable record, she has the same dilemma as other Lane County department heads: Lack of proper funding. In her case, it’s to do the job of protecting this county’s citizens from the criminal element. ‘The crime rates are going up because of the decriminalization of drugs in the state of Oregon. People who are high are not in their right mind necessarily, and many are committing crimes of violence while under the influence of hard drugs. They are stealing to pay for drugs. Drugs didn’t become free when they became decriminalized.’ And there you have it. That MUST be the most accurate and commonsensical statement made by any public servant I’ve heard in a long time. Her situation reminds me of the words from one of the country songs on my playlist: ‘she had a great attorney, mine was fair.’ Having trouble connecting the dots? Allow me to illustrate. Let’s assume a doper is arrested for breaking into a residence and was in possession of the stolen goods. Given the financial status and general wherewithal, he probably doesn’t have legal counsel on retainer, so a public defender is assigned. It’s at this point that the aforementioned wages come into play. The DA’s office has to have prosecutors on staff with more expertise than the public defender in order to obtain a conviction. To hire attorneys of that caliber, the DA’s office has to be able to pay a wage that is consummate with the level of skill and knowledge required to obtain the most convictions possible. She can’t do that if the politicians holding the county’s purse strings think it’s more important to find a place for a bum to sleep than putting a bad guy in jail. Any questions? Heard about THIS ONE yet? As usual, unsatisfied with the pace of woke progressive greenie stuff coming out of Salem, Portland’s speeding up the process with their own version – banning the sale of diesel in favor of ‘diesel made from waste animal fats and vegetable oil.’  They say it works just as good as real diesel (of course), but I’ve seen this before. Working in a heavy equipment dealership back in the ‘90s when biodiesel was introduced, a few of my customers jumped on the greenie bandwagon with both feet, only to jump back off when the first cold spell of winter hit. The fake diesel raised hell with the close-fitting internal components contained in fuel pumps and injectors. I’ve got a feeling this whole fossil fuel banning thing, is going to turn in to another big fat I told you so. In California and Europe, 2035 is when the sale of non-electric cars is banned. That’s only 15 years from now. Do greenies really think their scientists are going to solve all the problems with that scenario by then? I beg to differ. Today’s woke progressive indoctrination centers are more worried about teaching diversity, self-satisfaction, trans-love, and campus safe space locations, than the fact-driven science required for such groundbreaking discoveries.

Hey Biden – who in the hell are you trying to kid? Your robbing the Strategic Petroleum Reserve has nothing to do with lowering the price of gas for the American consumer, and everything to do with making them BELIEVE it does, to boost the Democrat’s chances in November. For Christ’s sake – millions of gallons aren’t even going to American gas pumps – they’re going overseas to places like China and Italy. Haven’t your aides told you? The SPR is supposed to be saved for when we have to go to war, and our access to imports is cut off. What’re you going to do when China goes to war with us after Pompous Pelosi visits Taiwan in August? Somebody needs to nominate you for an award – the biggest idiot to ever live in the White House. I pray to God this country can survive the rest of your term.
