For that same $27 million, hire the Air Force to have a fleet of C17s make a low-level pass over Portland, dragging big cargo nets, scoop up all the bums, and drop them at the site of the regional Transition Center east of Christmas Valley. That way, it’ll be an incentive to build the center ’cause the occupants are already in place – no need to hire a bus company to move ’em.

School district awaits fee application after praying Bremerton football coach’s case. You’d think this case would be a learning exercise for this country’s woke, progressive public schools, but it won’t. The wokesters will continue to force their ideas on students, teachers, and coaches alike, even after the US Supreme Court has ruled against them in favor of an individual’s First Amendment rights. That ruling included the Bremerton school to pay the coach’s legal fees, and while a final number hasn’t been proffered yet, the school has been discussing $5.5 million with its insurers. While the insurance company(s) will finally fill out the check, guess who’s REALLY going to end up footing the bill in some way or fashion? If you guessed taxpayers, you’d be right as rain. Once again, the American taxpayer pays for the Democrat-run, myopic liberal philosophies of the unionized American school system and their backers in Biden’s administration. You can’t make that connection? Here’s a fun fact: the teachers’ unions donated $232,000 to the Idiot in Chief’s campaign to get him elected. Once he was in office, as with ANY politician who’s beholding to his donors, he pushed through changes to Title IX, the mandated transie bathroom policy, and backed the teaching of CRT. I’m sure there are others, but those are the biggies. So, when you cut through the MS media spin, the Supreme Court decision was ultimately a swipe at King Biden and the Democrats in his regime.

Alright, I haven’t ever pontificated on the crypto craze, but this FTX failure is a cautionary tale of buyer beware – at the very least. In this writer’s humble opinion, as with anything else, whatever exists in the digital world is prone to manipulation. Come on, folks – just look at history. Have people learned nothing? During the crash of 1929, how many millionaires took a dive out of their penthouse window from atop a skyscraper because their fortune, which only existed on paper, was wiped out, leaving them penniless? All one has to do is look at the correlation to modern daily life. How many scam-filled emails do you get daily? For any readers that need advice – if it’s digital, it can be hacked, and there’s no shortage of people out there that’re trying to take your stuff. Need an example? On this website alone, not to mention my personal email accounts, I receive an average of a dozen comments a week that aren’t comments at all but spam-filled drivel with links to shady sites just waiting to be clicked on. And while some appear to originate in the United States, most are from Russia or China. What’s the moral? If you’re gonna buy a herd of cattle, you might wanna ride out and take a look at them in the pasture before pulling your wallet out.
