Oregon announces another $10.6M in grants to turn 3 hotels into transitional housing. If you own property next to one of the hotels targeted for the buyout, you have my deepest sympathies. By turning them into bum hotels, they’ll be trashed in no time. The area surrounding them’ll look like one of those stroller corrals at Disneyland, except it’ll be full of the bums’ bicycles, the doggie carts they pull, and the rest of their prized possessions, either stolen or the latest finds from their dumpster-diving expeditions. Yessiree, be sure to thank Oregon Community Foundations for creating more slum areas out of what used to be decent neighborhoods. None of this would be an issue if governments and organizations pooled their money and sank it into Transition Centers.

Newsom’s California pushes billions in reparations payments as state faces budget deficit disaster. State task force proposes doling out $360K per person as amends for slavery. Hey Newsom – you braindead sonofabitch! Read the room! For Christ’s sake! You’re already $22.5 billion in the hole, and now you wanna give $640 billion to Blacks as your state’s reparations for slavery, even though California never allowed slavery when other states were. Why don’t you give that much money to any Jewish people living in the state as reparations for the 6 million Jews Hitler killed in the Holocaust? What’s the difference? Your Jewish population wasn’t killed in the gas chambers any more than your current Black population was held in slavery.

Yellen says no relief coming for Silicon Valley Bank, not going to repeat 2008 bailouts. As much as I hate to admit it, that’s probably the first smart thing she’s said since Biden hired her. The wrong choices and shaky investments SVB made were THEIRS. The American taxpayer wasn’t involved, so why would the American taxpayer pay them to fail? Call me old fashioned, but a bank that’s the institution of choice for 50% of America’s startups is not where I’m going to put MY money. When interviewed, the Home Depot co-founder had this to say about it: “I can’t wait for Biden to get on the speech again and talk about how great the economy is and how it’s moving forward and getting stronger by the day. And this is an indication that whatever he says is not true. And maybe the American people will finally wake up and understand that we’re living in very tough times, that, in fact, that a recession may have already started. I feel bad for all of these people that lost all their money in this woke bank. You know, it was more distressing to hear that the bank officials sold off their stock before this happened. It’s depressing to me. Who knows whether the Justice Department would go after them? They’re a woke company, so I guess not. And they’ll probably get away with it. I think that the system, that the administration has pushed many of these banks into [being] more concerned about global warming than they do about shareholder return. And these banks are badly run because everybody is focused on diversity and all of the woke issues and not concentrating on the one thing they should, which is, shareholder returns.”

A Catholic student attending classes at a Catholic high school was arrested for saying that men and women are different? You’ve GOT to be kiddin’ me! When did WPs take over the church? If we do nothing, there will be across-the-board benefit cuts for all retirees who are collecting benefits. And that’s just not fair. That’s going to harm a lot of people.’ Remember – Biden’s the one who’s accused the GOP of wanting to cut Social Security – another classic mistruth from Lyin’ Biden himself.

How much longer is Biden the Wuss going to let them continue to take Americans and leave the door wide open to let in wetbacks? Here’s an idea – eliminate the cartels and finish building the wall. Here’s ANOTHER idea – after he does both of those things, take the $43.2 BILLION he wants to give the IRS in his new budget and use it to hire more ICE agents. Round up all of the 6 million illegal aliens he’s let in, and deport ’em back to where they came from, or at LEAST back to Mexico, where they went THROUGH to get here. The president of Mexico has already publicly said that he’ll spend money to help defeat Republicans in the 2024 election, so nobody should lose any sleep over taking out his cartel buddies who’re bringing wheelbarrows full of cash through his back door.
