DAILY DELIBERATIONS 8 APRIL 2023

Brandon Johnson wins Chicago mayoral contest, replacing former Mayor Lori Lightfoot. This is a rerun of NYC – they got rid of one idiotic, self-righteous mayor and elected an even bigger idiot (if that’s even possible). This may turn out to be one of those wait-and-see things, but with the backing of ol’ Bernie Sanders, they’d better buckle up. The E-ride’s just gettin’ started. When things start going south, the blue voters of Chicago’ve got nobody to blame but themselves for electing a clone of the last worthless mayor they had.

NATIONAL NOTES.2 7 APRIL 2023

Oregon Dems silence crime expert as they push gun control bill: ‘What are they afraid of?’ Talk about Salem airing its dirty laundry in public, and by dirty laundry, I mean Eugene’s own rabid anti-gun nut, Democratic state senator Prozanski. He’s had a hand in every gun control measure that’s come out of the capital building. The fact that he’s still a state senator should tell you what kind of nutjobs live in his district and continue to elect him.

NATIONAL NOTES.1 7 APRIL 2023

Private sector job growth tumbles in March to 145,000, worse than expected. 145,000 gets scarier when you dig deeper and see that 68% of the new jobs were in the leisure and hospitality industry, which is going through its annual preparation for summer routine. I hate to keep playing the recording of “a recession is coming,” but these labor numbers are another milepost that says it is. OPEC cut production, making it more expensive to drive to a job paying a wage that doesn’t have the buying power, thanks to Biden’s inflation. The seeds of a recession that’ve been planted continue to grow.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 7 APRIL 2023

Oregon mother sues after state refuses adoption for not affirming trans procedures. Leave it to Salem. If the inference seems to be that the state demands the potential foster parent is required to support the child’s beliefs, then it must follow that if the child were an arsonist or held homicidal tendencies, they would have to apply as well. I’d rather have the Democrats use my tax dollars to pay off her successful lawsuit than pay for illegal alien abortions, medical care, and food stamps.

DAILY DELIBERATIONS.1 7 APRIL 2023

Nearly 200 churches sue to leave liberal United Methodist body and keep property amid split over sexuality. In case you missed it, the coming revolution’s taken on a new look. The battle lines’ve been drawn. The blues have now cloaked themselves in the rainbow flag of the trans movement, finding yet ANOTHER wedge issue to divide the country. Country? Hell, they’re splitting their own party. I, for one, have never understood the religious faction’s position that supports those who carry the LGBTQ+ banner. The Bible is quite clear about the roles of a man and a woman. At least the followers of those tenents don’t call for throwing fagsters and lesbos off the roof of a 10-story building the way the ragheaded zealots do.
