NATIONAL NOTES 21 MAY 2023

President Biden’s judicial nomination for Michael Delaney is likely to be withdrawn, according to reports that say he could not earn enough votes to advance out of committee. Another one of Biden’s picks bites the dust. When you look at the big picture, Biden’s one of the reasons he can’t keep people. His current turnover rate is 48%. As for the nominees he’s trying to get approved by the Senate, at this rate, his term’ll be over before all the vacancies are filled.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 21 MAY 2023

Lane County jail levy set to pass. This levy passed with a whopping 80% of voters behind it. That says two things: 1. Bad actors need to be in jail. 2. The fact that people want to maintain the current level of incarceration says that most of them are sick and tired of the BLM and Antifa types tearing shit up and burning it down and getting a free pass, like in Portland. Based on those results, it would appear that Eugene has more commonsensers than I gave it credit for.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 20 MAY 2023

Eugene proposing amendments to its camping and overnight sleeping ordinances. Does this sound familiar to anyone? When the federal government came up with the Real ID driver’s license program to be able to board a commercial aircraft, Oregon said sure, we’ll comply, IF the citizen gives us $30 for the extra background checks required to make one. When Queen Brown gave Oregon cities two years to comply with her directive, in true form, Eugene dragged their feet till the last minute. With the number of bums and bumettes hovering around 3000, instead of taking money away from bleeding-heart programs to hire more enforcement people to comply with state law, they put off doing anything, as if ignoring the issue would make it disappear. Something Democrats are good at.

NATIONAL NOTES 19.1 MAY 2023

FBI employees had security clearances revoked after speaking out against ‘politicized rot.’ Anybody that’s worked in a few big organizations (ESPECIALLY the federal government) during their career can see what’s going on here. Knowing how to duck and weave around personnel regulations while doling out retaliation for spilling the beans on systemic waste, fraud, or abuse, is classic behavior for an agency riddled with deep-state employees. The example I’ve cited here before is the abrasive USPS employee who was fired for leaving work with a black pen emblazoned with “Property of US Government” in his shirt pocket. I don’t care WHAT the FBI says. THAT’S what’s going on here.
