OREGON OBSERVATIONS.1 8 JUNE 2023

Senate sneaks business tax hike (CAT) by voters. Email sent to senators listed in the article, reprinted here with permission of the author: You people need to sharpen your pencils. The CAT was never a good idea, but Salem insisted on saddling Oregon’s businesses with it. This bill was undoubtedly born due to your having had so many complaints about the CAT. You’re trading an increase in the exemption level for an effective 16% tax increase – caused by cutting allowable deductions, or an outright 7% tax increase, depending on business size. That’s like patting yourself on the back for giving an employee a 4% raise when the average annual bump is 2%. If the inflation rate is 9%, the 4% increase will not allow the employee’s buying power to keep up with price increases caused by hyperinflation, and at that rate, they’ll never break even. If Oregon’s taken in $3.9 billion more than projected, and the kicker’s making you give it back to the taxpayers, why are you trying to take in even more? I urge you to vote no on SB 140-3 — no new tax increases. The CAT tax should be abolished, not made worse.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 8 JUNE 2023

Funding reinstated to Greenhill, contract negotiations to begin soon. Typical. WP Hippieville can spend their tax revenue taking care of bums and wetbacks, but apparently, their hearts stop bleeding when it comes to stray dogs and cats. It sounds like the only thing that changed their minds was an aggressive social media campaign full of negative comments aimed at the city council. Why doesn’t someone start a negative Facebook campaign about how they’re NOT gettin’ rid of the bums and bumettes? HERE’S the way you’ve got to look at it: The City of Eugene can find the money to provide food, shelter, and care for stray cats and dogs. They CAN’T, however, find the cash to get rid of the bums, but they CAN find the money to keep feeding them and overlook their canvas condos. Talk about priority misalignment!

Progressive Texas judge suggests illegal immigrants could receive universal basic income. Okay, all you non-believers. This is another I told you so. The Democrats’ collective wet dream in their quest to finally take over everything as a result of buying votes. If they had their way, they’d have agents stationed all along the border, having wetbacks sign paperwork registering them to vote as a Democrat as soon as they crawled out of the Rio Grande in exchange for a promised UBI.

NATIONAL NOTES.1 7 JUNE 2023

Bill to Stop Employees Confronting Shoplifters Passed by California Senate. The Golden State and its WP bleeding-heart Democrats in Sacramento are absolutely batshit crazy. The only way these stores are EVER gonna put an end to this out-of-control crime is to let them hire security personnel that’re highly proficient in headshots, and I don’t mean the glamour photography kind. I mean the ones that’re a result of jacketed hollow point entry.

NATIONAL NOTES 7 JUNE 2023

California is killing another industry that families need. Congratulations need to go to Nitwit Newsom and his merry band of Democratic bureaucrats for driving out yet ANOTHER source of tax revenue. I’m tellin’ you – Californians need to get smart, change their attitude, and elect another Ronald Reagan for governor, or spend their last few bucks to buy guns and ammo, survival gear, a horse and buggy for transportation, and a mule to plow with. Why? They’ve already outlawed fossil-fueled vehicles, and without a tax base, there’s no money for handouts for the bums and wetbacks, so they’ll turn to stealing just to get by. You thought shoplifting was a problem now – just wait until all the stores’ve been Newsomed. That’s a new verb I invented that means taxing everything, and everybody left in the state, trying to get blood out of a turnip.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 7 JUNE 2023

Gas in Eugene falls 3.8 cents per gallon, $1.28 lower than a year ago. Alright, people, I hope you’re not buying this – are you? Remember that the average cost per gallon during #45’s last year in office sank to $1.84 a gallon (April of 2020). Now, when it’s dropped off its high of $6.43 a gallon (California, June of 2022), the MS media tries to make you believe that none other than the Idiot in Chief, Lyin’, Bumbling Biden, is a hero. His $2 trillion spending spree caused the worst inflation in over 40 years and brought back memories of Carter the Clown. They say history repeats itself. Let’s hope so. After America got tired of Carter and his dismal record, they elected one of the most commonsense presidents this country’s ever seen – Ronald Regan. So, here’s hoping we’ll have the White House version of a market correction in 2024.

Elon Musk, farmers torch Ireland government proposal to slaughter 200K cows to meet EU climate change goals. Alright – these tree-huggin’ greenie bastards are officially out of f⭐⚡⭐in’ control! Killing 200,000 cows ’cause they fart too much? What’s next – gettin’ rid of 200,000 babies to keep their crying from contributing to noise pollution? Oh, I forgot. The birthrate is down 4%, so the earthfirsters don’t want ’em, period. I can’t believe what America’s come to – relying on the 83-year-old Al Pacinos to repopulate the country.
