OREGON OBSERVATIONS 2 JUNE 2023

Democrat Rep Hoyle received campaign donations from cannabis entrepreneurs who applied for grant she oversaw. A $554,990 taxpayer-funded grant was awarded to ENDVR under Rep Val Hoyle’s leadership as the Oregon labor commissioner. How many out there voted for Val Hoyle to replace DeFazio? Well, here’s one of the reasons I didn’t, except, of course, that she’s a Democrat. Like most Democratic politicians (Biden, for example), her office work has had a checkered past, as can be seen from the linked article. Influence peddling is often tied to corruption, and while not specifically illegal in the United States, 11 other countries have made it illegal. If you’re a regular reader of these pages and you’ve been paying attention, you’re reminded that the events of this case are closely related to Fagen’s recent departure from her position as Secretary of State. She was moonlighting as a pot shop chain’s business consultant that her office audited for compliance with state regulations on cannabis businesses. Here we go again – Democrats elected another Democrat with unsavory workplace habits.

NATIONAL NOTES.1 1 JUNE 2023

GOP chairman moves to hold FBI director Wray in contempt over Biden doc. It’s about damned time SOMEBODY held the FBI (or should I say FBIC – Federal Bureau for Investigating Conservatives) in contempt. All Wray’s trying to do is bury a smoking gun – one that’ll prove the organization’s upper echelons are a bunch of closet Democrats gunning for anyone with conservative thoughts.

NATIONAL NOTES 1 JUNE 2023

Durham reports shows Biden and Obama knew truth of Trump collusion hoax but kept silent. Lyin’ Biden and his sidekick, Drama Obama, were “prominent Democrats who knew that the damning Trump-Russia collusion narrative was all a hoax, but they chose to remain mum.” NOW do ya know why I call ‘im Lyin’ Biden? They BOTH chose to drag this country through four years of hell, if for no other reason than to spur on their fellow Democrats and get them lathered up into a crazed frenzy.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS.1 1 JUNE 2023

Dem senator slams ‘Greater Idaho’ movement to absorb conservative rural counties from liberal Oregon. Push for formal talks between western states about moving border gaining momentum — and scrutiny. Hey Merkley – YOU’RE part of the problem! You make it sound like it was Idaho’s idea to suck up some of the counties in Oregon. If that is what you think, it shows just how out of touch you and your sidekick Wonderboy Wyden really are. It’s the Oregon conservatives, tired of the Democrats running roughshod over them, that went knocking on Idaho’s door.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 1 JUNE 2023

Oregon voters could decide on ranked-choice voting soon. A bill asking voters to approve the system is among those stalled by a Republican walkout in the Senate. As far as THIS writer’s concerned, they can put a fork in it – it’s done. Bills like this are another reason to ensure the walkout lasts through 25 Jun 23, the last day of the 82nd Oregon Legislature. The next one won’t start until February 2024. That session will only last 35 days. The politicians in Salem can’t agree on who’s bringing in the coffee in that length of time, much less legislate on anything significant for the state’s citizens.

DAILY DELIBERATIONS.1 1 JUNE 2023

Republicans’ work requirements ‘obsession’ is ‘offensive’ to poor people.’ Hey CNN commentator person! YOUR statements are offensive to those of us who’re paying for those people to sit on their asses when they’re able to work. How about we don’t require the poor to work, and we bring back debtors’ prisons instead? You’d probably REALLY go off the deep end then.
