This is officially a global thing, not restricted to American egotistical yuppies. If you’ve forgotten what a yuppie is, look it up – that’s what Gen Zers are in my world. Once again, you can lay this one squarely at the front door of their parents, who gave them the impression that they could expect to dictate the terms of their employment on day one and be the CEO by their second week on the job.

McDonald’s franchise in Louisiana, Texas fined for hiring minors to work illegally. As much as I’m surprised they tried to skirt child labor laws, look at the bright side: At least they weren’t hiring wetbacks to flip burgers for $7.25 an hour (minimum wage in both states).
