NATIONAL NOTES 3 AUGUST 2023

Biden repeats dubious ‘Joey, baby’ Amtrak story in new interview. Here we go again. Maybe he subscribes to the theory that if you tell the same lie often enough, you start to believe it. Bumbling Biden’s recounting the lie-filled story about a conversation he claims to’ve had with a conductor who, at the time Jurassic Joe says he talked to him, was already dead. And this, folks, is our 46th president. Lord help us if the Democrats manage to make him #47.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 3 AUGUST 2023

No, Oregon voter initiatives aren’t tested for legality. Again – no shit Sherlock! All I’m gonna say is look at Measure 114. The woke Democrats got their adoring fans to vote for it, even though anybody with an ounce of common sense could see it was clearly unconstitutional, and regardless of what the used-to-be-a-Democrat judge ruled, the odds are that her decision will be shot down by the 9th Circuit, and if not, by the Supreme Court.

Illinois Gov. Pritzker allows non-US citizens to become police officers with new law: ‘Fundamentally bad idea. ‘Hey Pritzker, you f⚡⭐⚡in’ asshole! At the rate you’re going, you’ll go down in history as the one-man wrecking crew that singlehandedly destroyed the state of Illinois. You must be related to Al Capone. The only difference is he worked out of Chicago, not Springfield.

NATIONAL NOTES 2 AUGUST 2023

Hunter Biden remains ‘good standing’ member of DC Bar despite facing criminal charges. Good standing, my ass! I dare you to read the following and come to that conclusion: It is misconduct to “commit a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer in other respects.” In addition: “many kinds of illegal conduct reflect adversely on fitness to practice law, such as offenses involving fraud and the offense of willful failure to file an income tax return.” And lastly: attorneys risk the “possibility of probationary conditions” in cases of “addiction to drugs or intoxicants.” Lyin’ Biden – the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 2 AUGUST 2023

Lawsuits hover over utility companies as wildfires spread throughout Oregon. And the Lord said, “Let there be common sense.” Suing these power companies for causing forest fires is like shipping a box of blasting caps with dynamite. There’s always a possibility that an errant spark’ll set off one or more of the blasting caps, which’ll blow up the whole load. However, I can guarantee that a power company suffering defeat in even ONE of these lawsuits will cause rates to go up across the board to recoup their loss and raise EVERYBODY’S monthly electricity bill.

DAILY DELIBERATIONS 2 AUGUST 2023

NY bracing for gas and electric bill shock amid green push: ‘Very aware’ of the ‘burden,’ Con Ed says. Nobody should be surprised this is happening in a state saturated with earthfirster Democrats. Like California, they elected the politicians influencing the green policies that led to this. This happened because the citizens in the bluest blue states blindly voted the party line. What’d they THINK was gonna happen? Look at California: They elected Nitwit Newsom to be their governor, and he signed a law that’ll outlaw fossil-fueled cargo trucks in the near future. Considering that there aren’t any of those, and the other immense hurdles to overcome before they can become a reality, one can conclude that the inmates are running the asylum. Back to New York. Their electricity bills will rise (according to the provider’s conservative estimate) by 15-20% in the next 3 years. If your electricity bill is $800 a month now, it’ll be $960, and some who take issue with Con Edison’s estimates say it’d be $1600 a month. While I feel sorry for the rare NY commonsenser retiree, living on Social Security payments, that DIDN’T want the politicians who gave the green light to these treehugger plans, to the rest, I say: They got what they voted for.
