NATIONAL NOTES 22 DECEMBER 2023

Pentagon announces new multinational force to protect ships in Red Sea from Houthi attacks. I’m not sure if there’s a government watchdog agency that tracks how many of our tax dollars are spent on such endeavors, but there needs to be. Let’s review. Ask yourself how much is it costing to have all those ships going back and forth, just waitin’ for the Houthi ragheads to fire a drone or cruise missile? If they’re using $2 million missiles to shoot down $2,000 drones, wouldn’t it be cheaper to strategically drop a few bombs to take out the launch sites and decimate the Houthis? Folks, it’s like swattin’ at yellow jackets at a BBQ. You can either spend the entire time trying to swat them away so you won’t get stung, OR you can find their nest, douse it with Bee Bopper (or YOUR favorite wasp and bee spray), and enjoy the gathering. Are you trying to tell me that with all the spy satellites and clandestine assets we’ve got in that part of the world, we can’t perform a surgical strike and take out their launch sites? Give me a break.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 22 DECEMBER 2023

Rep. Hoyle votes No on the Defense Authorization Act. I hate to keep beating a dead horse, but Val Hoyle strikes again. In her statement to try and justify her vote, she talks of required reforms. While that position has merit, the way to effect change is to do the hard work. She needs to sponsor and lobby for a bill that implements the changes she wants. Voting no, which throws away the included pay raise for all DOD members, is like throwing the baby out with the bath water. As an example of how far DOD pay lags the private sector, in 1969, as a slick-sleeved Army private, I was making $95 a month. That trend of disparity continued throughout my entire career, thanks to elected officials like Representative Hoyle. Talk’s cheap and, as such, the politicians’ preferred stock-in-trade. It seems to me that common sense should prevail when an elected official votes on whether or not to take care of the people who put their lives on the line to take care of them and the remaining American public. Of course, the politicians that don’t, or won’t, are too busy pandering to the WPs that got them elected. For an example of this trait, look no further than the Idiot in Chief bending over backward to take care of the earthfirster treehuggers.

NATIONAL NOTES.1 21 DECEMBER 2023

Biden campaign co-chair admits she’s ‘afraid’ Biden will lose big due to border crisis. Really? No shit! I’ve been telling you this for YEARS. It didn’t take a campaign staff fulla rocket scientists to see that lettin’ in 10 million illegal aliens to further drain the wallets of American taxpayers, would cost president asshole his chances for gettin’ reelected. Why weren’t these people sayin’ somethin’ almost three years ago? I’ll say it again: President shithead is responsible for lettin’ in more wetbacks than the population of legal citizens living in 41 of our states. If you don’t think THAT’S a problem and you’re reading this, you must be lost.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 21 DECEMBER 2023

EScooter pilot program discontinued less than a year after launch in Eugene. Gee – I wonder why ‘financial reasons’ were behind discontinuing the program? I’d be willin’ to bet that losing track of their scooters had somethin’ to do with it. I mean, cone on. Anybody that’s driven around town in the last year couldn’t’ve missed seeing the puke-green scooters abandoned next to sidewalks, leaned up against signposts – wherever the battery ran out. Given the users’ habit of walking away from them when the battery charge was depleted, the only way such a program would have a chance (moneywise) would be to embed a tracking device into each scooter (that ran on a battery reserve unavailable to the drive motor) and pay an employee to navigate to that location and retrieve it. Kinda like the guy I ran into a while back, putting some abandoned shopping carts into his pickup. One of the area’s grocery stores paid him a bounty for each of their carts he found and returned.

DAILY DELIBERATIONS 21 DECEMBER 2023

Texas Gov. Abbott signs bill making illegal immigration a state crime. Considering the miserable track record Biden and his cronies have on this issue, ALL the states need to follow Texas’ lead and pass similar laws. Biden and his WPs are bound and determined to turn America into a third-world country. Given the fact that he’s let in 10 million wetbacks since he put his hand on the Bible, he’s got a helluva good start, and commonsense Americans are the ones that’re gonna pay the price.
