NATIONAL NOTES.1 10 JANUARY 2024

SCOTUS Delivers Private Property Rights Victory. I’ve been waitin’ for this one to be settled, it finally has, and the little guy’s won! Here’s the bottom line: Governments can’t seize your property for the money you owe them, sell it at auction for more than they’re owed, and keep the entire amount for themselves. The next one that needs to be adjudicated is all these law enforcement agencies that seize cash and property because they say it was proceeds from drug sales. I’ve read stories where the victim of these actions had a legitimate reason for holding the cash and nothin’ to do with dope. Another case of YOUR tax dollars paying the salary and operating costs of agencies to steal (in some cases) money from innocent victims.

NATIONAL NOTES 9 JANUARY 2024

Biden admin appears to fabricate paper trail in pursuit of major chemical plant shutdown. Folks, this is the kind of president the Democrats elected to run your country – one that manufactures evidence to support his position, and we’re talkin’ evidence in a court of law, no less. I mean, come on – think about it. How is this any different than a dishonest cop planting a gun on a guy he just shot and killed to justify his use of deadly force?

OREGON OBSERVATIONS.1 9 JANUARY 2024

States warn of ‘Band-Aids and duct tape’ for road maintenance. Crazy Kotek and her Delusional Democrats can point fingers anywhere they want, but the ODOT budget problems didn’t happen in a vacuum. I don’t care what they say. In this writer’s opinion, the MAJOR reason for those problems is the Democrats’ incessant caterwauling about EVs replacing fossil fuel-powered vehicles. Every state has historically relied on a portion of its fuel tax to supplement that state’s DOT budget. Well, guess what? As less fuel is being sold because more lemmings are following the EV pied piper, less money is goin’ into the ODOT coffers. The other problem is plain ol’ budgetary priorities. They need to start cuttin’ the pie differently. Oregon has so much revenue that it’s triggered the constitutional rule, and Oregon taxpayers are in line to receive their portion of a $5.6 billion kicker. What’s wrong with this picture? Salem has so much money that it can give back $5.6 billion to the taxpayers, but it can’t give ODOT the dollars it needs to deal with snow drifts several feet high in counties prone to high amounts of the stuff or keep the roadways through the mountain passes clear. Give me a break. Somethin’ stinks to high heaven in Salem, and it’s the Dumbass Democrats.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 9 JANUARY 2024

Portland health officials report waste-borne illness rampant among city’s homeless. If this keeps up, maybe the bum problem’ll take care of itself. It sounds like, if left untreated, they’d shit themselves to death. This is what happens when they share a bottle of wine with their bum buddy when they’ve got shit on their hands from wiping their ass without toilet paper. Bums leavin’ their piles of shit on the sidewalk like a wild animal – the gift that keeps on givin’.
