As usual, that non-profit idiot is tryin’ to paint a “poor me, poor me” picture when God’s honest truth is the size of your kicker refund check depends on how much you paid in state taxes. If you didn’t pay in hardly anything, you’re not gettin’ very much back. If you pay a lot of taxes, you’re gonna get more back. The asshole in the article proposes to even out the kicker so that everybody gets the same amount, to which common sense says – wait just a damned minute. Why do I, and everybody else above my pay grade have to pay way more taxes than the people on the lowest rung of the ladder, just so they can get the same size kicker refund? That’s EXACTLY like Shithead Biden using MY tax dollars to forgive the student loan debt for hundreds if not thousands of people who thought it was a good idea to party their way through college life while pursuin’ a degree in basket weavin’. Give me a f⭐⚡⭐in’ break.

Do you think further investment into the Lane County Fairgrounds is a necessity? I voted “no” with the other 53%. The WP Lane County Commissioners who want the ballpark don’t have any connection with or desire to support current Livestock Building events such as the annual Oregon Logging Conference, livestock shows, or other events, e.g., various dog shows, Dozer Day, etc. Their promise to build another Livestock Building after the current one is demolished most likely will not happen adjacent to the Lane Events Center where it needs to be. In round numbers, there’s about a $50 million gap between the estimated cost of the multi-use facility and the money committed by Lane County, the Ems, the State of Oregon, and the federal government. So, guess where THAT money’s gonna come from? If you guessed property taxes, you get a gold star.
