The same ones want to congest River Road by taking away a travel lane and giving it to buses whose average ridership is 5 – 10% of the bus’s capacity. Ask anybody that observes those buses along their routes anywhere in town, and they’ll tell you the same thing. Those numbers are derived from physical observation, not some focus group that meets in LTD’s backroom, attended by lobbyists and people controlling the federal money checkbook, with the goal of shoving EMX routes down taxpayer’s throats to bring in federal grant money. The only way that’ll ever stop is to quit electing Democrats that run the departments full of likeminded unelected bureaucrats, that think about ways to squander your tax money. 4
