Eugene officials hear feedback about electric-only infrastructure proposal for new homes. Here’s an idea – why doesn’t the woke progressive city council and their rabid earthfirster tree-huggers table the discussion until next July? Then, they can reconvene at the Country Fair, where there’s sure to be more support for their ban. They can host an information booth staffed by tie-died hippies, who can talk about mining the required quantities of rare-earth minerals required to build all the EV batteries and other high-tech gizmos and how it will have the earth’s population living on floating boats long before it chokes to death on carbon. Besides, once they dig up the dry acreage mining for all the battery components, where will they drive their electric car? There won’t be any land available for roads.
