FBI denies purging conservative employees in letter to Jim Jordan. Of course they denied it. Anybody with half a brain knows how the system works. The FBI most likely has wrapped itself in plausible deniability. I once knew a maintenance supervisor in the U.S. Postal Service who told me they had a problem employee who knew how to work the system and avoid any missteps that would get him fired. Racking their brains, their lightbulb suddenly came on. Anybody that’s spent ANY time working for the federal government has no doubt been accustomed to using the ubiquitous black pocket pens (at least they were black during my 22 years in the Army) during the workday. Such was the case with this guy. Soooo … one afternoon, they lay in wait for him to exit the building and get into his vehicle to drive home after work. As soon as he closed the car door, they had grounds to fire him for theft of government property – the black pen clipped to his pocket emblazoned with U.S. Government. In short, give me a break. If management on the seventh floor of the FBI building is smart enough to solve crimes, they’re certainly smart enough to rid their ranks of commonsensers and make it look like something else.
