Portland woman claims it’s a ‘piece of cake’ to be homeless in the city. Woman named Wendy says homeless residents repeatedly eat and get high. “It’s a piece of cake, really. That’s probably why you’ve got so many out here because they feed you three meals a day and don’t have to do s— but stay in your tent or party. If you smoke a lot of dope, you can do that….” Hello! The longer governments at all levels continue to throw our money at the problem without the advent of Transition Centers, the longer this behavior in the bum community will go on.
