NATIONAL NOTES.1 20 FEBRUARY 2023

Train derails outside Detroit, Michigan, with one car carrying hazardous materials. Van Buren Township train derailment unfolds nearly two weeks after East Palestine, Ohio disaster. Biden sure can pick ‘em, can’t he? Butt-boy Buttigieg is turning out to be as good at his job as Mayorkas. HE can’t keep wetbacks from invading this country, and Buttigieg can’t control the rail infrastructure from having a hazardous cargo spill every time you turn around. Trains won’t derail unless something goes wrong with the tracks or the way they’re secured into the railbed. If the Department of Transportation can’t keep those things from happening, how about requiring all hazardous cargo-carrying railcars (or trailers coupled to over-the-road tractors) to be fitted with burst-proof liners to contain the hazmat stuff in the event of a derailment or traffic accident. If they’re already doing something like that, they need to do it better, and ensuring that is butt-boy’s job – you know, the one he’s not doing.
