The state of New York is pushing back on technology because they’re afraid it’d target minorities? Why don’t they look at their own statistics? I was going to use some of the linked report’s charts to illustrate my point, but I couldn’t, as it’d take the rest of this page to illustrate my point. Common sense dictates to catch a bad guy, you have to look at the groups that’re causing problems. If those groups are predominately Black and Hispanic, so be it. My God – JUST LOOK AT ANY OF THOSE CHARTS! Look at the data for ANY crime, and it’s plain to see that Blacks and Hispanics are the predominant perpetrators. No other group comes close. Pushback against facial recognition software is a Democrat thing, plain and simple. Let me put it this way. You don’t go deer huntin’ in a Safeway parking lot ‘cause that’s not where the deer are.
