Crime-fighting fog hits shoplifters as retail theft spirals out of control. I keep tellin’ you: The only way to end this shoplifting madness that cost retailers $87 billion last year is to start dropping the thieves where they stand. Once THAT news gets around – problem solved. We need to change our attitude. In the old west, stealing a horse was a hangin’ offense ’cause it robbed a person of their transportation. I’d be willing to bet if they started fryin’ car thieves in the chair, numbers for that type of crime would drop like a rock. To further illustrate this point, for those of you that’re unaware, that’s why many foreign governments don’t have a drug problem – the penalty for possession is death. If we’d start the same policy for retail theft here, we wouldn’t have the problem, and prices would begin easing a little. What? You don’t think prices creep up on everything, partly to recoup the billions they’ve been losing every year since the days of the Chinese virus? Don’t be naive. You can bet your sweet ass they do.
