LTD Eugene Station remodel seeks to improve efficiency and customer experience. “Customer experience” means a better hangout for the bums that already use LTD’s station and the library across the street as a meeting place – panhandle central, if you will. Regarding funding, it wouldn’t surprise me if they were using the .1% of payroll transit tax from everybody’s check to pay for the $3.8 million makeover. They’re using political speak about the source of money being grants and local match dollars to throw you off track. Don’t forget – you’re dealing with a bunch of Democrat appointees and hires in a Democrat town.
