Differing opinions on no longer requiring the bar exam in Oregon. JEsus Christ! Oregon strikes again! I don’t care what they say. They’re only doing this to solve the Public Defender drought the state’s got. Let me ask you. When, for whatever reason, you need legal representation in a court of law (and God forbid your life depended on it), would you wanna put your freedom in the hands of someone who hadn’t taken the time-tested bar exam to prove their competency? Oregon is only one of five states (run mainly by Democrats) not to require passing the test as proof of legal proficiency and mastery of the state’s legal code.
