Traveler Privacy Protection Act would ban voluntary TSA facial recognition technologies now testing at 25 airports. Only the idiot that Oregon Democrats elected would devise a bill to assist crooks in evading detection. I don’t know what the TSA’s doin’ to start with. People bitchin’ about facial recognition are the same ones bitchin’ about speed trap cameras. As someone who dealt with them for two tours in Germany, I’ve found that people who raise hell about the cameras generally have something to hide. Nothing says divorce faster than a photograph from a speed trap camera that clearly shows the date, time, posted speed, your vehicle’s actual speed, license plate, and a closeup of the driver along with a female passenger, who’s clearly NOT your wife.
