Pentagon announces new multinational force to protect ships in Red Sea from Houthi attacks. I’m not sure if there’s a government watchdog agency that tracks how many of our tax dollars are spent on such endeavors, but there needs to be. Let’s review. Ask yourself how much is it costing to have all those ships going back and forth, just waitin’ for the Houthi ragheads to fire a drone or cruise missile? If they’re using $2 million missiles to shoot down $2,000 drones, wouldn’t it be cheaper to strategically drop a few bombs to take out the launch sites and decimate the Houthis? Folks, it’s like swattin’ at yellow jackets at a BBQ. You can either spend the entire time trying to swat them away so you won’t get stung, OR you can find their nest, douse it with Bee Bopper (or YOUR favorite wasp and bee spray), and enjoy the gathering. Are you trying to tell me that with all the spy satellites and clandestine assets we’ve got in that part of the world, we can’t perform a surgical strike and take out their launch sites? Give me a break.
