Egan volunteers voice frustration over lack of help during last week’s ice storm. To start with, let’s be clear. If the city, county, and state were using my Transition Centers, there wouldn’t be any need for warming centers ‘cause there wouldn’t be any bums to warm. Additionally, if the city, county, and state would get their priorities straight, they’d all have enough snow and ice removal equipment to address these storms. Lastly, even if a person was equipped with a 4WD and could drive on the stuff, it was all but impossible to walk on the packed ice without bustin’ one’s ass. Believe me. I tried, and I did.
