The Democrats’ knee-jerk reaction to the Chinese virus, which threw the population into mandatory mask wear and forced kids into an education format that consisted of a monitor hosting a Zoom classroom. Gobs of parents saw this as a ticket to a better educational experience for their kids, and either dived into classroom-by-computer, or chose a charter school to escape the failures of public institutions. As a result, the schools got less money from the district, as they’re funded based on headcount. Fewer students, less money. 2. Democridiots in Salem didn’t keep up with inflation while spending our tax dollars. When combined with the reduced student population, it was a perfect storm of fiscal austerity.
