Williams Sonoma labeled Chinese-made merchandise American-made and ordered to pay over $3M. It’s bad enough that the Chinese rip off our proprietary information and disregard our patent laws to reverse engineer our products, dumping them on US markets and undercutting the price of genuine Made in the USA stuff. Now, a WP earthfirster California (San Francisco, no less) company has basically done the same thing by having employees in their Chinese factories apply Made in USA labels to the stuff they were churning out in China and advertising those products as being made here. It doesn’t surprise me that a California company would blatantly break federal law. It SURPRISES me that Biden’s DOJ would go after ‘em for doing it.
