Lane County Board of Commissioners subject of ethics investigation. Speaking as one of the thousands whose garbage bill would go up significantly if their recycling-sorting facility became a reality, I hope to hell the investigation bears fruit and the commissioners get their heels locked. Knowing the subject was wildly unpopular, it wouldn’t surprise me to find out this publicly elected group was conducting clandestine, off-the-record meetings on the subject to avoid public scrutiny.
