They didn’t use to be that way, but very few people who would know that either aren’t alive, weren’t born yet, or weren’t payin’ attention. Kennedy was the last Democratic president who was worth a shit. How many remember the Cuban Missile Crisis and our reaction to it? It was Kennedy who stopped the Russians from parking their missiles and nuclear-capable bombers 90 miles off the coast of Florida. I served with guys who were deployed to the Sunshine State, to be ready in case shit hit the fan.
