OREGON OBSERVATIONS 19 NOVEMBER 2025

Do you think Oregon needs a change in leadership? DUH! 80% of respondents said yes. So here’s a question: If 80% said yes, why do we have a pack of Democrats runnin’ the state? In theory, with numbers like those, there should be more commonsensers in Salem. There are a few, but not enough to overcome the Democrats’ supermajority. In case you’ve forgotten, a supermajority means every Republican legislator can vote against a woke progressive bill, and it’ll still pass, as long as enough people show up to have a quorum. For the life of me, I’ll never understand why Measure 113 (unexcused absences result in future banishment from political office) passed, even in the cattle-country counties east of the mountains.

Obviously, the Democrats who wrote the Voter’s Pamphlet explanation of the Measure left out the fact that in a state where Democrats dominate the state legislature, walking out of a session, thereby denying a quorum, was the only way to stop the passage of woke progressive (anti-gun, pro-wetback, trans-friendly, etc.) legislation.
