Lane Co. Sheriff’s Office wants to beef up patrols; minimum of $22M in new revenue needed. The county has about 0.2 deputies per 1,000 residents, including incorporated cities. Oregon’s state average for officers including police from city, county, and state law enforcement agencies is 1.5 per 1,000 residents. As I’ve said on MULTIPLE occasions, take the money they need from the pile of $7 billion the state and its entities spend on bums and wetbacks each year. Oregon’s a sanctuary state, and as such, prohibits local law enforcement from aiding DHS or CBP in roundin’ up illegal aliens. Doesn’t anybody else see the irony? They won’t let Lane County Sheriff’s assist in the roundup of wetbacks, yet the only way the county can provide the service level its citizens require is to take money away from the very funds used to assist the illegal alien lawbreakers. This could only be a reality in the upside-down world of Democridiots. QUIT ELECTIN’ DEMOCRATS!!!
