If they’d’ve done somethin’ like that against all the Vietnam War protesters, we wouldn’t have the problems we have now. But they didn’t, and a lot of the protesters from the ’60s and ’70s went on to become university faculty and administrators, who told whole generations of students that it was okay to burn down a city block, and use violence when law enforcement is doin’ somethin’ they didn’t agree with.
