Oregon’s Education Workforce Climbed While Student Enrollment Slid. Over the past five years, the number of full-time employees at the state’s 197 school districts has grown by nearly 17%. At the same time, student enrollment has shrunk nearly 3%. And you wonder why the Democrats in this state are always turnin’ over rocks to find more money? Stuff like THIS is why. It’d be one thing if enrollment INCREASED by 17%. But it didn’t. It DECREASED by 3%. Then they’ve got the gall to wonder why they’ve gotta can teachers to make ends meet.
