Socialist mayor’s ‘super overblown’ quip draws fire as Starbucks ditches Seattle HQ. Starbucks leaving Seattle doesn’t surprise me a bit. When I lived up there, I worked in King County (just south of Seattle), but when I bought a house, it was in Pierce County, where taxes (and everything else) were cheaper. That was over 30 years ago, and it’s only gotten worse.
