State lawmakers weigh breaking Oregon’s link to the federal tax code as budget gap widens. Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek instructed state agency leaders to “leave no stone unturned to save taxpayer dollars.” Translation: When she says âsave taxpayer dollars,â she really means we can’t afford to give our taxpayers these breaks.
